Outerwear and apparel company, The North Face, turns 40-years-old this year. To celebrate this momentous accomplishment, they’ve released a special event website displaying products and catalogs released over the decades.

One of the newest Graphis models to hit the scene is Sena Ayanami (born December 13, 1984). I can’t tell you much about Sena except that she’s an up-and-coming JAV idol who loves walking her dog and making new friends. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about this sweet girl soon. For now, enjoy the pics!

Kana Tsugihara’s photo gallery was viewed a whopping 1,267,210 times last year, making her the most popular Japanese gravure idol on Kineda. Following closely were Nozomi Sasaki with 1,012,681 views, Yukie Kawamura with 930,152 views and Aki Hoshino with 890,982 views.

If Kineda’s stats are of any indication, Kana’s sexy appeal should put her on the road to super stardom in 2009. Under her belt already are ads for Microsoft’s Xbox 360, Namco’s Dead or Alive game series and spots in several TV dramas. The real payoff though, would be a rumored spokes model deal with mega mobile communcations company NTT DOCOMO. Lets keep our fingers crossed for this young starlet.

The Best Actress nominee for “Changeling” definitely dazzled at the event not just because she was arm-in-arm with one of the night’s hottest man [Brad Pitt] but because her silver Versace dress brought out the best in her.

What I like about Angie when it comes to dressing up for the red carpet is that she doesn’t seem to overdo it nor try too hard to really standout; it just happens.

While Carrie Underwood maintained her charming and girly personality with her beaded Naeem Khan gown at the 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards, Kate Hudson stuck to her glamorous (or is it?!) boho vibe at the event.

Well yeah, I honestly am not sure if this one will pass as glamorous; its cut, its hue, and its shape, they’re all telling me: MISS!

Come on, for someone voted by the people as their Favorite Leading Lady, we’d expect something more from Kate, right?!

The awards season has finally started! Get ready to be wowed by the stars’ fabulous and expensive fashion statements for these events.

Kicking off for the awards season is the 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards which took place yesterday (January 7) at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles California.

And one of the event’s attendees that mesmerized us all is American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood.

Putting on an elaborately beaded Naeem Khan gown, Rene Caovilla heels, Cinta by John Hardy jewels and a Mary Norton clutch, the People’s Choice for Favorite Female Singer definitely proved that she can standout from a crowd of sparkling stars.

I may not be a ‘floral fashion’ type of person but this one here is just right for the event. Carrie sure is a darling in this look.

With the New Year in, the stars also have put down their winter clothes and switched on to a more comfortable one. – The beach wear.

But if you think the stars can get away from fashion hits and misses; then they better think again.

So shall we check them in now?

Let’s go with our newlywed couples Mariah Carrey and husband Nick Cannon, Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

The first taking a detour from their trekking activity the snow-covered streets of Aspen to St. Bart’s at the Nikki Beach Resort.

From their usual matched outfits, Mariah and Nick finally decided that that kind of getup won’t do any good to their careers. And so they went to putting on ‘opposites’ yin-yang; black and white. Is this a way of proving how in-love they really are with each other?

From one newlywed to another, Jay-Z and his wife Beyoncé also enjoyed the warm and sunny environment at St. Bart’s. J was cool and comfy with a striped shirt while B is just as refreshing with a white tank top.

Couples done, now let’s go to the sexy solos (at least on the photos) on the beach; AnnaLynne McCord, Kristin Cavallari, and Solange Knowles.

The 90210 star shows off her tanned and toned physique with a sexy hot white bikini (if only the bikini bottom doesn’t look too awkward) while strolling the sands of Miami Beach.

Kristin Cavallari enjoys the water in Miami Beach wearing a sky blue bikini (that again has an ugly bikini bottom).

But while AnnaLynne’s and Kristin’s bikinis weren’t perfectly stunning, Solange Knowles looks as though she’s lost in Miami Beach with her I-don’t-know-if-that’s-a-swimwear look.

I would have been in bad mood with that look from Solange had it not been for Gerard Butler who was really hot hot hot in his beach wear.

Thinking for a post to kick off for this year sure is a burden for me. But fortunately, it’s not the same burden as those for mag publishers thinking for celebrities to kick off their New Year’s cover.

Check out some of the faces that you will see on your newsstands this month and let’s see if they made a good choice on their covers:

A first look at 2009, Johnny Depp graces the cover for Entertainment Weekly. I am a huge Johnny Depp fan so I sure would be bias on this… Great choice!

After giving birth to her first born, Bronx Mowgli, Ashlee Simpson lands on the cover for Life & Style. Unfortunately, this isn’t really what you call as a cover; it’s just the story that’s the cover and not the photo.

For Cosmopolitan Germany, it’s hot hot hot momma, Angelina Jolie that’s kicking off their year. Good choice? Definitely!

Meanwhile doing the cover for Shape’s January 2009 issue is High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale. With Ashlee showing off the sexy side of her, I believe this one is a good choice.

It’s an oh-lala issue for Allure as femme fatale, Eva Mendes. Sexy it is, but for me it’s not really that… inviting.

Young and hot. That’s how Maxim’s kick off issue is with Hilary Duff posing on its cover. In business perspective, good choice. But for someone who’s being looked up by teens, I’m not sure. I guess I have yet to really see the inside.

Well those are just some of the faces you are to see in the newsstands this month. As to whether the publishers did a good or bad choice, you decide.
